Preparations, Preparations, Preparations

After a 20 month retreat, Willow Fine Arts are about to resume trading at events. It has felt like an age and to be honest, we are a little trepidatious! The nerves are similar to going back to a new school year after a long summer break! (It was a while ago but I remember that feeling vividly!)
With 200 new products to showcase, we have been busy painting, printing, packaging, labelling and then there are the more menial but essential tasks like re-newing our insurance, cleaning the van, renovating or repairing display furniture and the general ‘getting ready to trade again’ tasks! There is excitement in the air!
It has been a blessing that we were able to continue trading online throughout the lockdowns of 2020 and earlier this year but the experience of engaging with our customers has been missed so we are looking forward to being sociable again!
Sadly, some booked events that we were due to attend had to be cancelled due to repercussions from Covid 19 restrictions, and it is worth mentioning that no forthcoming events are guaranteed for the same reason but here are some of our scheduled events for the near future;
2021
Saturday 7th August: Our first event will be at the Northiam Summer Festival in East Sussex.
Sunday 8th August: Willesborough Windmill, near Ashford, Kent are hosting a Heritage and Craft Fair from 10 am and we will be there as we have been on previous years.
Friday 28th August to Monday 30th August we will be trading at the Hythe Life Festival in Hythe, Kent.
Saturday 4th September: Willow Fine Arts will be trading at the Biggin Hill Carnival (Previously known as the Biggin Hill Festival) at Westerham, Kent.
Sunday 5th September: We have always enjoyed our day trading at the Heavy Horse Show in Sevenoaks, Kent and will be pleased to return there this year after a year away!
Friday 10th -12th September: We will be setting up our stall outside the Tithe Barn for the Handmade Mid-Winter Market in Lenham, Kent.
Saturday 2nd-3rd October Tenterden Folk Festival will include the Tenterden Craft Fair, we will be there showcasing our wares in the large marquee on Tenterden Recreation Ground, Kent.
We will be posting other dates and events for later in the year as they are confirmed but it is assumed (unless there are restrictions imposed) that we will be attending Christmas Markets and Fairs from October 2021. Fingers crossed!
We really appreciate seeing and engaging with our customers so it is going to be a wonderful experience to be allowed to set up shop again!
In the meantime, the web-shop is trading as usual so for our customers outside of Kent and in other areas in the country (and around the world) we send you all our warmest wishes and hope that you also have the opportunity to enjoy your new freedom!
