Lockdown 2020 - Abstract Expressions
The coronavirus pandemic in 2020 and the subsequent lockdown has given us all time for reflection.
The human response to the crises has inspired a series of abstract paintings representing the various shared emotions that have carried us through times of difficulty.
We recognise that life is strengthened by the appreciation and recognition of a universal spirit.
Preparation.
The squirrel is a creature renowned for its preparation for a cold winter, in a similar sense the human species have had to prepare themselves for the unknown.
Using a pallet knife, this image has been painted using a limited pallet, there is a lack of detail on the subject for it is not the aesthetic realism that has been the objective, but rather the concept of survival.
