Lockdown 2020 - Abstract Expressions
The coronavirus pandemic in 2020 and the subsequent lockdown has given us all time for reflection.
The human response to the crises has inspired a series of abstract paintings representing the various shared emotions that have carried us through times of difficulty.
We recognise that life is strengthened by the appreciation and recognition of a universal spirit.
Strength
We are a strong willed species, and we are strengthened by the bonds that bind us emotionally. We do not forget what is important and this understanding is represented by the elephants at play.
(With a more literal perspective: there are undoubtedly many parents who can relate to the needs of playful offspring whilst they have attempted to work from home!)
This is a painting that has less emphasis on detail but is clear with its message on emotional strength.
